Yael Stone

Stone was born in Sydney and grew up in the city. She was educated at her school, the Newtown High School of the Performing Arts (NIDA) and at the National Institute of Dramatic Art. Stone began acting as young, and was featured in the film Me Myself I and the miniseries The Farm. The majority of her work was theatre; at the 2008 Sydney Theatre Awards, she received awards for Best Newcomer and Best Supporting Actress, for her role as the character The Kid. She also worked in television, including supporting roles in All Saints as well as Spirited. In 2010, she appeared in The Diary of a Madman. It earned her a second nomination for the Sydney Theatre Awards as Best Supporting actor. In February 2011 she went in New York to perform in the Brooklyn Academy of Music's production The Diary of a Madman, before returning to leading roles in A Golem Story, Summer of the Seventeenth Doll, as well as As You Like It in Sydney.
